Affordable wines win gold!
A comparison of several wines at the 2003 Royal Hobart wine show (dry white chardonnay 2002 vintage–wooded category) revealed that affordable wines do win gold! Blind-tasting of Falls Wines 2002 Chardonnay (retailing at $20 a bottle) against well known white grange (retailing at $132 a bottle) resulted in two gold medals, but one wine that you can afford to enjoy whenever you like.
